Stock Rom ,generic firmwares,Factory Firmwares are same thing but with different names. Stock Rom's are contains complete package of currently installed tablets / Smartphones firmware or Android operating System. Generic ROM or flashing files are compatible firmware to restore android tablet back from troubleshoot. Board ID or generic ROM contain complete package of Android Tablet Camera Drivers , Touch drivers , sound , mic, kernel versions and CPU.When recognizing board id you can find same compatible firmware and can easily restore your bricked android tablet to factory settings .

Generic Rom /Official Firmwares only works with software and some components of android tablet hardware . Like I have flash android tablet facing battery problem with factory firmware , after successful flash, battery problem was solved and battery was good to charge , even working too good.

With the help of board id , PCB image ,or firmware identity, you can find your Stock ROM or Custom Firmware for your chinese android tablet . Low budget Android tablet does not show stock rom details nor you get updates from sellers. Only Branded tablets (samsung galaxy tab , Amazon , etc) provide firmware updates and also a variety of stock firmware. To find Firmware on Unknown, non famous or chinese android tablets you need to open the back cover carefully and find the firmware number as shown in image.
To flashing a chinese tablet generally you need to know two basic things .
1. CPU / Chipset / Processor Chip.
2. Firmware ID/ PCB Image /firmware identity.
The CPU or Chipset help you identify the flashing utility (A software utility which use to write flashing files). I.e Livesuit Flashing tool , Phoenix Flashing Tool , RkBatch Tool , Amlogic Burning tool , Action Product PAD tool etc.
The Firmware ID or PCB Image or Firmware identity will use to find the complete package of firmware (Describe Above).
